Christ in me (Galatians 2:20)

(Verse chosen from today’s Bible reading – Deuteronomy 16-18 & Psalm 38 & Galatians 2)

“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.  The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.”  Galatians 2:20

What lessons are there for me in this Scripture?

This verse is described as, “Paul’s testimony.”  It must be mine as well.

I was a sinner deserving eternal separation from God.  I am still a sinner but I accept the fact that Christ died for my sins and in doing that He removed the punishment (eternal separation from Him) that I deserved.

I have given Him my life.  I now live trusting Him.  I now live surrendered to Him.  I live as someone filled with His Holy Spirit.  I belong to Him.

The life I live is not my own.  Those in my midst must see this Godly intertwining that has happened.

I must closely monitor my life so that His Ways are my ways.  I must closely study/memorize His Words so as to gain His Wisdom.

I will fail functioning independently.
