(Verse chosen from today’s Bible reading – Isaiah 53-56 & 2 Peter 2)
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. Isaiah 55:8
What lessons are there for me in this Scripture?
Not for one second should I assume that I can function spiritually on my own.
I must beg God to teach me His Ways.
I must declare my dependence on Him. There is no other deserving of my affections.
To go solo is to slide down the slippery slope to nowhere in a hurry.
I need to have the closest relationship with Him possible. Then I will be in a position to pick up His Thoughts and His Ways.
I can catch His Thoughts and Ways by reading His Word.
I must start each day relishing His love and finish each day rejoicing in how He has provided for me.
