“Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence?” Psalm 139:7.
Verse chosen from today’s Bible reading: 2 Samuel 4-5, Psalm 139, and Matthew 16.
Out of sight. Out of mind. Not so, with God. He’s omnipresent.
Some folks choose to ignore God. They figure that by ignoring Him He will go away. How wrong they are!
If I am tightly tuned to God, I had better be prepared to go places I wasn’t, in my own strength, planning to go. It is in those “unexpected” place that I must be certain to recall today’s verse. I will always be in a place where God dwells no matter where it is.
How thankful I can be that God is always with me. I must pause from time to time to revel in the fact that He is with me. I don’t have to go to church to find Him!
I think that believers must carefully consider where they go. Are there places I wouldn’t want God to even know that I was at? He is with me in those places as well so I must have that in my head as well. Could keep me from going to, or staying at, places where I can’t rightly represent Him. I trust that to be so.
God is with me right now as I compose this entry. He will be with me this afternoon when I go to work. Will I be mindful of His presence? If I am living close to Him, I will be aware of His nearness. May it be so today.
“Lord, how thankful I am that You are omnipresent. If you could pick-and-choose I suspect that some of us would be often on our own but that is not the case. You are near. I know Your presence. Thanks for being with me. Forgive me for ever ignoring You. I love You, Father.”
You are never out of God’s sight. Act accordingly!
