“By faith Abel, Enoch, Noah, and Abraham…..” Hebrews 11.
Verses chosen from today’s Bible reading: Isaiah 19-21, and Hebrews 11.
Doing what God wants is crucial.
God counted the faith of these folks as righteousness.
God knows what each of us is doing. He knows the difficulties we face. He knows the successes that come our way.
Will we trust Him, have faith in Him, no matter what?
I find that when things change suddenly I get thrown off spiritually. Things are good but I don’t see His Hand in them. Things are bad and I seek help apart from Him.
The faith of Noah has always amazed me. The assignment given to Him was overwhelming. Yet he persisted. His obedience was pinpoint. He withstood an avalanche of criticism from those in his area.
How long will I hang in there in adversity?
I want my relationship with God to be so solid that I am driven to please Him no matter what. I want to hear His Voice and get in on what is best for me in His mind.
“O Lord, how little do I know the passion needed to rightly represent You. I am a lightweight spiritually. I settle for less when You offer me everything I need. Forgive me. Direct my path. Guide me, O thou great Jehovah.”
Will you do what God wants?
