“Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe.”  Hebrews 12:28.

Verse chosen from today’s Bible reading: Isaiah 22-24, and Hebrews 12.

There will be nothing flimsy about the kingdom Jesus will put in place when He returns.

Things wear out in this world.  We, in fact, wear out.  Not in His kingdom.

There will be a lot of things missing in His kingdom.  Those who have declined to receive the Good News will be gone.

Everything we have has a wear-out guarantee.  It will not have that quality in His kingdom.

As I think about that kingdom, I realize that it is beyond my comprehension.  I am certain that my mind isn’t constructed to ever grasp the details of His kingdom.  I am just excited that it is for certain in my future.

I must be thankful for what God has given me as well as what He will give me.  I deserve nothing but His mercy and grace overrode that.  Hallelujah!

I must worship Him as He deserves to be worshipped.  So easy to become lackadaisical.  Today’s verse qualifies the worship as being with “reverence and awe.”

Life is full of uncertainties but in Him there is certainty.  He will never stop loving me.  He has the present and the future covered.

“As one of billions in Your universe I give You praise.  You are in charge.  You are beyond my comprehension.  I do know that You took care of my sin problem and gave me a new life free from its power.  Thank You.  Thank You.”

Do you need a firm and steady hand?
