“Surely the arm of the Lord is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear. But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear. For your hands are stained with blood, your fingers with guilt. Your lips have spoken falsely, and your tongue mutters wicked things.” Isaiah 59:1-3.
Verses chosen from today’s Bible reading: Isaiah 57-59, and 2 Peter 3.
It’s our fault!
How easily we blame others.
God has every capability there is. There are no limitations on His side.
We do the limiting. We set up barriers between us and Him.
He has not moved away from us. We have moved away from Him.
Think of our relationships with others. Some are close. Some are distant.
We have control over them and our choices determine how they are.
I MUST be tight with God. I cannot do anything to disrupt our relationship. He is a loving God and I must respond in kind.
If I am close to Him I will have everything I will ever need. What an amazing comfort that is!
“Lord, You know me. I love You. Forgive me for behaving otherwise. Prick my conscience when I have messed up our relationship. I need You every second. Take me over entirely. I love You, Lord.”
Get your act together and your relationship to God will be restored.
