“But whoever is united with the Lord is one with him in spirit.”  1 Corinthians 6:17.

Verse chosen from today’s Bible reading: Job 34, and 1 Corinthians 4-6.

God’s Spirit is within the believer.

He’s there but will I recognize it?  Will I be affected by it?

I must be in communion with the Holy Spirit within me.  “What do You want me to do?”

I believe that I must consistently make certain that the Holy Spirit has access to all of me.

How often I close doors.  How often I act independently of Him.

The Spirit is available to help, teach, and comfort me.  I need all of that!

My life must be run at such a pace that the reality of His presence comes to mind.  Another reference to Brother Lawrence’s “Practicing the Presence of God.”

How often does His presence come to mind during my day?  I love to pray for help and later thank Him for it but what about in between?  Have I lost consciousness of His Presence?

We are supposed to be on the same page.  Today’s chosen verse refers to our relationship as being “one with him.”  There won’t be stray maneuvers in such an arrangement.  We will be working together.

“Lord, forgive me for forgetting our oneness.  You are in me and I want You to control me.  I want Your Ways to be my ways.  Direct me.  Forgive me for not being mindful of You.  What else is there to be mindful of that had eternal value?  Nothing.  I love You, Father.”

Are we one with the Holy Spirit?
