“So the Israelites did everything the Lord commanded Moses; that is the way they encamped under their standards, and that is the way they set out, each of them with their clan and family.” Numbers 2:24.
Verse chosen from today’s Bible reading: Numbers 1-2, and Acts 24.
How orderly this was!
God is a God of order. There are things we should do and things we shouldn’t do. Many of those things are clearly spelled out in the Bible.
Life works better when it is organized. We’re not rushing. We are instead moving at a smooth, steady pace.
I know that next week will be a busier than usual work week (school vacation). If I put things together before the rush hits I will get through it with relative ease. I must be directed by God in the details of my life or I will mess them up.
I believe that God gives us a sense of what is ahead. I understand that some things come out of nowhere and impact us significantly. That could well be God revising our own inclinations. Generally, we know what’s ahead and we can act accordingly.
“Lord, forgive me for over-planning sometimes and under-planning others. Help me to get this right. I need You. I trust You. Guide me, I beg, in this day.”
We must seek His Will and do what we can to carry it out.
