He isn’t dead

“After his suffering, he (Jesus) presented himself to them and gave many convincing proofs that he was alive.  He appeared to them over a period of forty days and spoke about the kingdom of God.”  Acts 1:3.

Verse chosen from today’s Bible reading; Exodus 12-13, Psalm 21, and Acts 1.

Jesus Christ died BUT He came back to life.

God raised Jesus from the dead after accepting Jesus’s life as the needed sacrifice for our sins.  Hallelujah!

If Easter doesn’t happen, Jesus is just like everyone else who has died.  Does the resurrection of Jesus make a difference? Certainly, because how would we be able to believe what Jesus said would happen to us after we die if He couldn’t get beyond death himself?

My life on this earth is short.  I can’t number my days ahead.  But I do know that if I die, I will have eternal life with God.  Why?  Because I believe that, by dying, Jesus eliminated the consequence my sins warrant; eternal separation from God.  I am completely in the clear in the sight of God!

“Lord, thank You for taking care of my sins.  Forgive me for persisting in my sinfulness.  I love You for what You have done for me.  I want to please You every second of this day.  Guide me.  Direct me.  Prick my conscience when I’m off track.  I love You, Father.”

What difference would it have made if Jesus had stayed dead?  You better know the answer!
