Listening to your donkey

“Then the Lord opened the donkey’s mouth, and it said to Balaam, ‘What have I done to you to make you beat me three times?’”  Numbers 22:28.

Verse chosen from today’s Bible reading; Numbers 21-23, and Mark 6-7.

This verse always quick references me to “Francis the Talking Mule!”

The more I read the Bible, the less I become surprised by other Bible stories like this one.

God is amazing and unlimited.

When Jesus spoke of the rocks crying out in praise of Him if the people didn’t, I believe that the rocks would have.

I believe that nature “sings” God’s praise.  I know that they’re inanimate, but this is God we’re talking about.  He is indeed unlimited.

The disciples were often taken by surprise by what Jesus did and reacted accordingly.  Shortly after Jesus had fed thousands with little food to start with, the disciples were overwhelmed when He settled the Sea of Galilee.

The miraculous is always within God’s reach.  I must NEVER forget that.

I have family members who are not connected to God.  They need a relationship with God.  I pray that unlimited God will step in and open their hearts to Him.  I know that He is capable.

“Lord, send a talking donkey if need be.  Open the hearts of my family to their need of You.  Remove the barriers that keep them apart from You.  Fill me with You so that my words/actions will glorify You.  You are an amazing God.”

God is unlimited.  Why do I act as if He isn’t?
