“But if you do not drive out the inhabitants of the land, those you allow to remain will become barbs in your eyes and thorns in your sides. They will give you trouble in the land where you will live.” Numbers 33:55.
Verse chosen from today’s Bible reading; Numbers 32-33 and Mark 10.
If I hang on to things that are godless, I will pay for it later.
If I am fortified with God, I can handle anything. God, however, knows the way I am. His best advice is to avoid places/people that would lead me astray.
I have learned the hard way that there are things on TV and on my computer that I need to totally avoid. There is no middle ground. But do I always avoid them? No, and I always regret it!
My life needs to be so close to God that I have His power against troublesome areas. I must never trust my own willpower.
“Lord, I need You every second. I cannot function in a Godly way apart from You. Forgive me for forgetting that important truth. Prick my conscience when I am flirting with disaster. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit so that what I do will please You. I love You, Father.”
Beg God to help you to avoid places where you will be godlessly overrun.
