“Then God opened up the hollow place in Lehi, and water came out of it.” Judges 15:19.
Verse chosen from today’s Bible reading; Judges 13-16 and 2 Corinthians 2.
Samson was very thirsty. He had just used a donkey’s jawbone and killed a thousand Philistines.
Samson thanked God for the victory but feared that he now would die from lack of water and his body belong to the Philistines.
God hears, and God provides.
How like God! He listens, and He gives us what we need.
God knows best. He also knows my situation. In fact, He knows what’s best and my situation better than I do. I need to trust Him. He will get it right!
We must not fall into thinking that we if ask Him, we will get what we want. Paul was in a jail cell for one night and under house arrest for two years. God’s plans vary. We must be willing to do whatever He wants. We need to seek His will and not rely on our wills.
“Lord, You know all things. I want to please You. I want to honor You. Forgive me for planning without You. Forgive me for being frustrated when my plans fail. They fail because they are MY plans, not Your’s. Guide me, O thou great Jehovah.”
God knows our needs. Will we trust Him to give us what we really need?
