“What harmony is there between Christ and Belial? Or what does a believer have in common with an unbeliever?” 2 Corinthians 6:15.
Verse chosen from today’s Bible reading; Ruth 3-4, Psalm 65-66, and 2 Corinthians 6.
There are things that believers must avoid.
We live in a world in which anything goes. To not want to do something startles people: “Everyone does it.”
We need to see our lifestyle as one that represents God. This approach will make some things “situational.” Other things are just not to be done.
I need to be in such a tight relationship with God that I can make choices with confidence. Short-notice situations will not be so troubling. I think that if the thought of doing something makes us feel uncomfortable, on that occasion we shouldn’t do it. This might not be a “forever” deal. Maybe another time, with different people, a choice will be reconsidered.
God knows what I should do and what I shouldn’t do. I must desperately seek Him. I must beg Him for direction.
“Lord, help me to get my lifestyle right. I want to rightly represent You in everything I do. Forgive me for making my own choices. I need You, Father.”
Is there a Godly side to the way you live?
