Why am I doing this?

“That is why we labor and strive, because we have put our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of all people, and especially of those who believe.”  1 Timothy 4:10.

Verse chosen from today’s Bible reading; 2 Kings 8-9, 2 Chronicles 21, and 1 Timothy 4.

Interesting clarification at the end of today’s verse.

God has rescued everyone, BUT only those who believe that He has done that, will enjoy the result.

Not everyone will be in heaven.  There is action required on our part to make it happen.

This verse also explains our motivation for doing what He wants: Our hope is in Him.

This attachment to God keeps us willingly doing whatever He wants us to do.  There is no one more worthy of our love.  He has given us every good gift we have or will ever have.  We have a guaranteed after-life with Him!  We win in the end!  Hallelujah, what a Savior!

“Lord, what a privilege to be a child of Yours.  Empower me to serve You rightly.  Flood me, I beg, with a right heart in this day.  You are great.  You are amazing.  Thank You, Father.”

God is our present and our future.
