“Come and hear, all you who fear God; let me tell you what he has done for me. I cried out to him with my mouth; his praise was on my tongue. If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened; but God has surely listened and has heard my prayer.” Psalm 66:16-19.
I must be in steady communication with God.
How can I know what God wants if I don’t interact with Him?
There are places in which I am regularly thinking about God. I wonder what He wants, and I ask Him.
Other places are not as God-centered. The hours drift by and I have unconsciously distanced myself from Him.
What does He want of me? No way I’d know!
How can I prevent this from happening? I must maintain a non-verbal relationship with God. No words need to be spoken, yet I can interact privately with Him. I can consciously thank God for those in my midst. I can treat them accordingly.
God is in my midst whether I recognize it or not. He never leaves me. I ignore Him, and I shouldn’t. He is in charge whether I realize it or not. He knows what I need to do. I need to realize that and actively seek Him.
God is the One for all seasons. Foolish me often “fair weathers” Him. “Forgive me, Father.”
Conclusion: I must interact with Him without ceasing.
